While there's a little time between now on Aug. 9th, it will still be here before we know it.

So in the meantime what do to?

Promote obviously.

Which I am and will do up until the very last minute!

But how exactly do I plan to do it?

Well, if you haven't guessed, I'm on a very low budget. I'm even working on the flyer myself. And while a creative person, flyers are not my area of expertise.

Oh they won't be horrible, but they won't be as great as they could be.

These flyers I hope to get posted at local liquor stores or wherever I can post them. Obviously I will use FB and Twitter as well.

Advertising wise, nothing going there. Legally I can't advertise what movie I'm showing, but could advertise that I AM showing a movie...it's really a moot pout anyhow as I have no money to donut anyways.

Thus I also rely on good ol' word of mouth of whih you fine folks could help greatly with!

Unfortunately, for your help I have nothing to offer but my humble thanks.

It's official, in case you didn't hear, the Summit Brewing Taproom will be hosting TC's screening of Big Trouble in Little China on Aug. 6th @ 6:30 pm.

But that's not all.

There will be trivia for prizes, so that's pretty cool.

But even better, depending on where you fall on the geek spectrum: an opportunity to play a working Apple IIe!

That's right, we will be setting up an Apple IIe complete with color monitor and games for your enjoyment before and after the movie!

Oh, and did I mention the movie is free? That's right, there's no charge to watch this cult classic film!

In hopes to have the Apple IIe on display and available for play at the screening I hooked it up and crossed my fingers it still worked.

And it did!

And even better most of the games I tried (on good ol' floppy disk) still work too!

Don't think I'll bring all the games but for sure Mario Bros! And Dr. J vs. Larry Bird one on one.

Hoping that today is the day I get to formally announce our first screening and get to start promoting!

Yep, got the movie picked and will be finalized in a day or two and as I stated in a previous post, I have the location (taproom) and date set.

I haven't gotten word yet though from the taproom to start promoting it. Since I wish to respect their wishes,, I'm holding off until I know for sure I can.

Once I get word though? You'll be sick of me promoting it!

Created a Facebook page. Not much on there now, but like it and get the updates when the happen!

Yes, I do have a taproom and date set.

I haven't announced it yet as to make sure all T's are dotted and I's are crossed. Not to mention having a film to show!

Actually the last part should be nailed down soon, mid-week next week I am guessing.

Then it's bugging everyone to show up and make it a huge success!

Honestly this is happening faster than I thought so I'm actually playing catch-up, which is a great problem to have!

Okay, not the biggest news in the world, but the fact that there have been 100 views of the website and 90+ unique visitors on a site barely a week old is kind of cool!
